If your child is coming to one of our centres with their school, you might want to find out more about our high standards of safety and care and the wide range of activities on offer at both centres.

Our centres

Both Alltnacriche and Lendrick Muir are equipped to high standards, with comfortable indoor accommodation and plenty of outdoor space, ideal for children and young people to enjoy a Classroom Outdoors experience.

Bedrooms are dormitory style and can accommodate 2–10 pupils in a mix of bunk beds and single beds. Toilets and showers are available near all the bedrooms. The centres also offer plenty of indoor space to relax and enjoy activities such as pool and table tennis.

Our catering teams work hard to provide tasty, nutritious and healthy food. If children don’t like something we will encourage them to try it and will also make sure that no one is hungry. We liaise with schools to understand all special dietary requirements well in advance of the residential.

Our programmes are designed to support the children’s school learning and our outdoor learning programmes ties in closely with Curriculum for Excellence.

Looking after your children

We are committed to ensuring that every child who visits us is well looked after. We have high standards of safety and comprehensive risk assessments to ensure that all our activities are safe. We ask for detailed information from schools regarding pupils medical, dietary or other special needs as part of the booking process.

Our ethos

As part of SU Scotland both centres have a Christian ethos. We aim to provide a safe, encouraging and educational environment throughout. We work within Curriculum for Excellence and ensure that all our activities and programme elements are suitable for a school environment during your child’s residential experience. We partner with your child’s school to provide a programme that will enhance the learning experience, choosing activities and other curriculum elements to suit the pupils needs.
